our mission

THE CADUCEUS

The caduceus originates in ancient Greek mythology as the staff of Hermes, the messenger between worlds. It symbolizes communication between life and death, body and spirit, the human and the divine. The twin serpents are a metaphor for harmony between opposing forces—rest and duty, exhaustion and purpose. Angels are messengers and watchers—beings who stand between the human and the divine, offering guidance and comfort without recognition. Wings represent the ability to move beyond human limits, to remain vigilant, and to carry burdens that others cannot.  Health care is a field of healing, of service and self-giving— for those who move between worlds to heal others, carrying responsibility, sacrifice, and rest only after their duty is fulfilled.
